1. Introduction
Lumitrix Software (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and providing full transparency. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in connection with the Metrony mobile application (the “App”).
Metrony is a simple and elegant digital metronome designed for musicians to practice rhythm with precision. It offers full control over tempo (20–300 BPM), beats per measure (1–16), custom accents per beat, and a Tap Tempo feature for automatic tempo detection.
The App is published under our existing Google Play Console publisher account as a natural person. We do not collect any personal data on our own servers or for our own purposes. All user preferences are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us.
However, the App includes third-party services (Google Mobile Ads – AdMob and Google Fonts). This Policy complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / RGPD), the French Data Protection Act, CNIL recommendations on mobile applications, Google Play Developer Program Policies, and the Google EU User Consent Policy (2026).

3. Information We Collect
3.1 Data Collected by the App
The App itself collects no personal data on our servers. It does not:
- Require any permissions except INTERNET (strictly necessary to load Google Fonts and display AdMob banner advertisements after consent).
- Collect, access, store, or transmit device identifiers (including Advertising ID), location, contacts, camera, microphone, or usage analytics for our own purposes.
- Use Firebase, Google Analytics, crash reporting, user accounts, email, or any pseudonym identification.
The only data handled locally consists of user preferences (tempo, beats per measure, accent patterns, and preferred language), securely stored in a local Hive database on your device. These preferences never leave your device and are deleted upon uninstallation or data clearance.
3.2 Data Processed by Third-Party Services
Banner advertisements are displayed exclusively after explicit user consent is obtained through the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). In such cases, Google (as an independent data controller) may process personal data such as device identifiers (including the Advertising ID), IP address, and app interaction data for ad serving, measurement, and fraud prevention in accordance with your consent settings. We have no access to, control over, or visibility into this data.
Google Fonts are loaded from Google servers, which may transmit your IP address to Google in the United States.
Other SDKs integrated in the App (Hive CE, audioplayers, intl, package_info_plus, url_launcher) perform purely functional or local operations and do not collect or transmit personal data.
4. How We Use Information and Legal Basis
Since we collect no personal data on our own servers, no processing occurs on our part.
Local storage of preferences is based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to deliver core App functionality.
Advertisement serving relies solely on your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) obtained via the UMP consent form. You may withdraw consent at any time through the in-app Privacy Options entry point. No personalised advertising occurs without consent.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not share, sell, or disclose any data with third parties. The sole exception is the automatic, consent-based interaction with the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK, where Google acts as an independent controller. Google’s processing is governed exclusively by its Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
6. International Data Transfers
Any data processed by Google via AdMob or Google Fonts may be transferred outside the EEA (including to the United States). Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Full details are available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
Local preferences are retained on your device only for as long as the App is installed and not cleared. We retain no data.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, including sandboxed local storage, minimal permissions, and absence of external servers, to protect any locally stored preferences. Google is responsible for the security of any data it processes via AdMob or Google Fonts.
9. Your Rights under GDPR / RGPD
In accordance with Articles 15–22 GDPR, you have the following rights (exercisable free of charge, subject to identity verification):
- Right of access, rectification, or erasure (though we hold no data).
- Right to restriction of processing or objection.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to withdraw consent for advertising at any time via in-app settings.
- Right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or your local supervisory authority.

10. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for all ages and is not targeted at children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). No data collection practices trigger COPPA or equivalent child-specific rules.

- Google Fonts: Fonts loaded from Google servers, which may transmit your IP address to Google (disclosed above).

We may update this Policy to reflect App changes or legal requirements. The most current version is always available at this URL. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
